A longer table for neighbors in need. We're named after the street where my grandmother Bedie fed anyone who came to her door.
It started on Gaston.
Bedie's house on Gaston was never just a house. Her table fed family, neighbors and anyone who needed a plate. Homework, family meetings and holiday prayers all happened around it, with Bedie at the head and my grandfather Walter at the other end. She never met a stranger.
Table on Gaston carries her way of living forward. When someone needs a seat, you don't ask why. You make room.
